Flowers the color of fire emerge from the ground and blossom. Each day their flame gets brighter. The grass grows around them and their leaves get longer.
One bud decides to blossom first to test the air. As days go by its vibrancy grows. It spreads its pedals as far and wide as it can. Feeling triumphant it shows off all of its color. The other buds realize it’s safe to grow and little by little they blossom too.
A garden begins to take shape and with the passing of April showers raindrops are left on the flame colored flowers. Spring has been christened!
